The individual RoadBlade tire shredder modules are 20 inches in length, 12
inches wide and have a profile of 1 3/4 inches. Modules are comprised of 356
T51 Aluminum, weighing 17 pounds. They are powder coated to resist corrosion.
The modules contain 5 stainless steel retractable blades, spaced 4 inches
apart from one another when in the active position. The modules are 3 1/2
inches high when the blades are fully activated.
At the end of each module there are two ball connectors that connect to the
previous modules' receptacles. This allows for modular construction and helps
compensate for the crown in the road surface.
Underneath each module there are 5 tunnels that allow dirt, sand and other
debris to fall through and wash away. Also on the bottom of each module are
our new traction spikes. They are standard on the manual, DC portable and
maximum security systems.
The traction spikes are removable and are designed to keep the modules in
place on asphalt or dirt surfaces. On the surface of each module, there are
four mounting holes that allow you to anchor the module to the ground surface.
7 individual modules, providing 12 feet of perimeter protection, are included in each of the four RoadBlade packages. This can be easily extended by adding modules up to a maximum length of 25 feet per system. The modules are constructed to withstand 50 tons of force enabling the RoadBlade tire shredding system to handle heavy traffic volumes and heavy vehicles without damaging the modules.
The cut modules are included in the Permanent RoadBlade package. The ramps are cut off the modules so they can be installed flush with the road surface.

Traction spikes are easily removed
and replaced.

Custom color options are available
for the modules.
