Providing Power
With the exception of the Manual system, RoadBlade tire
shredders can be powered using either the portable power supply or a direct
AC power source.
A direct AC source powers the RoadBlade tire shredder from a 110 or 220 volt
outlet. This eliminates the portable power supply and is commonly used during
semi-permanent or permanent installations. For 220 volt systems please notify
us at the time of placing the order so that we can properly wire the system
to accept your power requirements.
Activation
There are several different ways to activate the RoadBlade tire
shredder including: the button pendant, the wireless remote, the junction
box, which controls multiple systems, and the manual actuator box. With the
exception of the manual actuator box, the tire shredder can be activated simply
by pressing a button.
Manual Actuator Box
The manual actuator box comes standard in the Manual RoadBlade package. It
has absolutely no power requirements, which makes it ideal for quick deployments
and remote locations, such as military checkpoints or roadblock security.
The Manual RoadBlade is activated by pressing a lever on the handle and pulling
back. The blades will pop up into the active position. To deactivate the system,
press the lever and pull the handle back to it's original position. The blades
will remain down.
